Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how I-Host, registered in Beirut, Lebanon ("I-Host", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our website and Services.

1. What We Collect

  • Account information: name, email address, physical address, phone number, and company name (if provided) when you register or place an order.
  • Billing information: payment method details, processed by our payment gateway(s) — we do not store full card numbers ourselves.
  • Service data: domain names, server configurations, and support ticket contents related to the Services you use.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically for security, fraud prevention, and site analytics.
  • Communications: emails, support tickets, and any other correspondence you send us.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services you've ordered;
  • Process payments and send invoices;
  • Respond to support requests;
  • Send service-related notices (e.g. renewal reminders, maintenance notices, security alerts);
  • Send marketing communications, only where you have opted in, and you may opt out at any time;
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • Comply with legal obligations, including domain registry (WHOIS) requirements.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process your personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract (providing the Services you ordered), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, service security, direct communications about your account), consent (marketing emails), and legal obligation (billing records, WHOIS/registry requirements).

4. Who We Share Data With

We share personal data only where necessary to provide the Services:

  • Infrastructure providers — the servers your VPS or hosting account runs on are provisioned through our infrastructure partner(s); minimal account/service data is shared to provision and manage the server.
  • Domain registrars and registries — domain registration/transfer requires sharing registrant contact details with our registrar partner and, per ICANN policy, potentially the public WHOIS database (unless WHOIS privacy protection is enabled on your domain).
  • Payment processors — to process your payment; they handle your payment details directly under their own privacy and security policies.
  • Email delivery providers — to send you transactional and account-related emails.
  • Legal authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure partners operate data centers that may be located outside your own country, including within the European Union. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the transfer mechanisms required by applicable law (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses, where relevant) to keep it protected.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and billing data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. Support ticket and service data is retained while relevant to your account and may be deleted a reasonable time after account closure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate data (much of this you can update directly in the Client Area);
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal and contractual retention obligations;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing communications;
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@i-host.me.

8. Cookies

Our website uses cookies necessary for the site and Client Area to function (e.g. keeping you logged in, remembering your cart and currency selection). We plan to add Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to help us understand how visitors use the site. Once added, a cookie-consent banner will be shown to EU visitors before those cookies are set, and this section will be updated to reflect that.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures — including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure — to protect your personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date.
